Thanksgiving Dinner 2011

Has everyone recovered from the tryptophan haze? And indulged again in leftovers?

I spent my second Thanksgiving in a row up in the beautiful hills of Palos Verdes with Steve’s family.

This year, I figured out how to successfully pace myself with the delicious appetizers Francine puts out so effortlessly.






I made Gorgonzola-stuffed, bacon-wrapped dates, which were in the oven when I took these pictures.

As the 14 of us sat down at the table, I dished up a little bit of everything. Delicious and moist white turkey, slow-roasted turkey neck, sweet potato casserole w toasted pecans & marshmallows, sausage stuffing, Stef’s homemade cranberry sauce, green beans w mushrooms and shallots…the plate of delicious bites kept a rollin’. The night finished with chocolate cheesecake, pumpkin pie & fresh fruit salad. Mangia!
