Foodie Photos: Catalina Kitchen’s Sunday Brunch
Posted by Shannon on 02/16/2012
This brunch is a luxury, and one I enjoyed when my friend Karen visited from Oregon last winter. A brunch sitting outside while looking at & listening to the Pacific Ocean…what an idyllic way to spend a leisurely Sunday in Southbay. Coffee, endless trips to the many Brunch stations and one of their famous Bloody Marys too.
My first venture around the multiple brunch “stations” resulted in a Vegetable and Beet Salad, Bacon, Smoked salmon & Shrimp, Spinach Portobello Eggs Benedict, Shrimp shumai & oysters to start.
One full plate, just the start for me.
Trip number two was even more samplings of unique combos including fresh seafood, Unagi sushi, Mini doughnut made in-house that morning, cheese/dates/pecans, French toast casserole and Fruit salad.
The second plate... foraying into sweets.
Final plate was all desserts. No deviation, just straight up sugary heaven.
Cheesecake, Chocolate Cake, Apple Cake & Chocolate Mousse
I love the choices and amount of food I can try when there are small chomps of food beautifully presented! I go there a few times a year.
This mini cheesecake was too cute to not to photograph after my first spoonful.
